As I wait for my Asda Smart Price Ravioli to simmer, I thought to myself: My design blog should be maintained. After all, graphic design is a hobby to me, so why not include more personal touches on here?

I suppose I should start by introducing myself - even if after 80 posts, everyone has been out the loop with who I am.
I’m Thomas. A 20 year old, 2nd year graphic design student of the University of Central Lancashire.

As you may have already gathered, this blog was a project set by our tutors, mainly to keep our attention focused on design over the summer break. Simultaneously it’s a way to show them, and consequently the world, what interests me within all aspects of design. It has even taught me that I’m more swayed towards typography, and interestingly, illustration (despite having no drawing skill whatsoever, shit!).

In the coming weeks, I aim to show my own work, be it personal work or University work. I also would like to discuss my thoughts on design, on what I am doing, and perhaps my overall feelings on the subject, but seeing as I’m only a 2nd year, I may sound uneducated to the more opinionated of those out there.
If this blog becomes more popular, I would like to interact with some of you! It can be literally anything, from standard questions, to pointers on my work.

But for now, I must really butter some bread.
